Drafts of Student Surveys

Feedback is important in guiding change.  It is important that SAU 67 seek, reflect and act on feedback from stakeholders.  SAU 67 has designed a process to collect input from students, families and faculty through surveys.  In November students in grades 3-12 will again be asked to respond to questions asked in a survey.  The questions will be organized into four scales of measure:

-Sense of belonging: This scale measure the extent to which students feel that they are valued members of their school's community

-Expectations and Rigor: This scale measures students' perceptions of the extent of which their teacher holds them to high expectations around their effort, understanding, persistence, and performance in their class.

-Grit: The scale measures a student's ability to persevere through setbacks to achieve important long-term goals.

-Pedagogical Effectiveness: This scale measure students' perceptions of a teacher's instructional methods and delivery of content.

Family and Faculty surveys, along with a second round of student surveys will occur in the spring of 2016.  Data from the surveys will be presented in aggregate form by building.

Draft of Family and Faculty Surveys

Feedback is a powerful tool.  SAU 67 is in the process of formally seeking feedback from stakeholders.  In the fall we surveyed students.  Early this spring we will be surveying families and faculty.  The surveys will be delivered electronically to your email on file with the school district.  You can update this in infinite campus.

Each survey is organized by topics and then supporting questions.  The results of the survey will be reported in aggregate form to the public.

Here are the topics for the family survey:  (You can access the draft survey with questions using the link on the right)

School Fit:

Parents' perceptions of how good of a match a school is for their child's developmental needs.

Learning Behaviors:

Parents' perceptions of their child's learning-related behaviors

Parent Engagement:

The degree to which parents engage with their child's school

School climate:

Parents' perceptions of the academic and social climate of their child's school
